Es importante ser conscientes de las consecuencias que está dejando el cambio climático y cómo combatirlo. Es así como a través de la educación para el desarrollo sostenible en conjunto con la promoción de la ciudadanía activa de niños y jóvenes, se crea el contexto perfecto para reconectarse con la naturaleza a través del trabajo colaborativo, ya que la comunidad en su conjunto busca acuerdos y prácticas horizontales para que sus las acciones se reflejan de manera práctica y alcanzable.

II. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Nuestro concepto se basa en la creación de un colectivo comunitario de acción climática para niños y jóvenes. Dentro de esto tenemos como base la sostenibilidad ambiental para generar progreso y conciencia social en torno a la realidad que se vive en la isla de Mallorca con respecto a la conservación de las playas y senderos que abundan en la zona.

Con el propósito de desarrollar las herramientas necesarias para que los niños y jóvenes aprendan cómo se pueden evitar, mejorar y colaborar en pro del cambio, los pilares fundamentales del proyecto se basan en conectar, concienciar y trascender como una gran acción. .

El colectivo ofrece varios ciclos de talleres que entregan las herramientas necesarias para que los participantes no sean solo espectadores, sino que se conviertan en colaboradores y agentes de cambio. Así, como en cada ciclo, culminará con la idea de hacer una acción con lo aprendido. De nada sirve involucrarse con el concepto de reciclaje y limpieza de áreas verdes, si realmente no se conocen las consecuencias de los desechos o por qué es fundamental reutilizar y reciclar. Y para darle más formalidad y profesionalismo, se invitará a especialistas voluntarios -ya sea de manera presencial o a distancia- para realizar sesiones y conectar a niños y jóvenes con acciones que trascienden el ámbito teórico.

El proyecto se define en generar acciones que permitan una mejora en el territorio a favor de los derechos de la naturaleza. El Enfoque es el aprendizaje basado en el servicio ya que los participantes, además de ayudar a su comunidad, aprenderán conocimientos que les permitirán mantener estas acciones de cambio. Además, se entregarán mecanismos de gestión ambiental con los diferentes actores del territorio enfocándose en la niñez, adolescencia y juventud.

La participación ciudadana activa frente al cambio climático genera un ambiente en el que las futuras generaciones frecuentemente vuelven a la idea de que somos responsables de las acciones que realizamos en nuestro entorno, lo que permite que el reciclaje y la gestión de residuos sean parte del día a día de las personas. participando en el proyecto.

Con miras a reducir siempre la huella de carbono que se ha producido en la isla, el enfoque debe ser adaptativo al ecosistema local de modo que permita la inclusión de planes prácticos para mejorar el problema climático. 

Debe entenderse que la sociedad y el medio ambiente no son subsistemas independientes que se superponen, sino que forman parte de un mismo todo.

Los pilares fundamentales del proyecto son conectar con el territorio (naturaleza y comunidad), sensibilizar sobre la importancia de la participación de niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes y trascender con un movimiento multicultural de locales y migrantes que generen acciones de cambio. .

El uso responsable y eficiente de los espacios públicos en este proyecto permite que las personas beneficiarias se vinculen con las escuelas, el municipio y los agentes de la sociedad civil que trabajan por su cuidado y protección, permitiéndoles conocer capacidades y acciones para el desarrollo comunitario.

El protagonismo de los niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes permite el intercambio generacional con la comunidad, generando inspiración mutua y escucha activa como característica esencial del proyecto.

Por último, trascender con la acción multicultural ya que compartir valores y experiencias de los migrantes con la comunidad enriquece los aprendizajes que son fundamentales para el conocimiento entregado.

Considerando que la participación es una herramienta que contribuye al desarrollo y autonomía personal de los niños y jóvenes, creemos que una ciudadanía activa es síntoma de tener una democracia sana. Aun cuando se crea desde la sociedad civil promueve una ciudadanía organizada que colabora en la detección, diagnóstico e incluso resolución de problemas que muchas veces la administración no logra por falta de recursos.

No creemos que los niños y jóvenes necesiten aprender a trabajar, sino que les falta el espacio para potenciar sus habilidades, actitudes y capacidades. Teniendo en cuenta que los datos recopilados hasta el 1 de julio de 2021 indican que la población total de Mallorca es de alrededor de 1.213.403 y alrededor de 280.510 son niños y jóvenes de entre 7 y 28 años, nos comprometemos a colaborar con la juventud local de Mallorca para crear este proyecto para sustentabilidad.

Geográficamente estaremos ubicados en Palma de Mallorca, que cuenta con unas 13 playas que serán el principal foco de trabajo, sin descartar la posibilidad de abrir el campo a zonas que necesiten una ayuda especial. En cuanto a accesibilidad, inclusión y diversidad, el primer foco será trabajar con las escuelas y colegios de la zona, reconociendo que hay alrededor de 55 que son públicos, además de trabajar con algunas organizaciones de la sociedad civil.

El proyecto combina estas tres dimensiones conectando la acción colectiva por el cambio climático, orientando y reorientando a través de la escucha de niños y jóvenes, procesos de aprendizaje creativo que permitan la innovación y la creatividad para hacer sostenibles las acciones y potenciar la relación con el medio ambiente. Finalmente, es el ejercicio y despliegue de los derechos de los niños y jóvenes lo fundamental para el desarrollo del proyecto en su totalidad y queremos que sea el emblema ejemplar en su desarrollo.

Please highlight the innovative character of the concept/idea as compared to mainstream practices in the field of the concept/idea.

Despite the importance of each initiative that is generated around support for the environment, this project is based on a multidisciplinary, community oriented, inclusive and replicable perspective that has several objectives: raising awareness among the participants on the importance of reducing the mass of polluting waste in the various public spaces of the city, as well as the promotion of creativity through initiatives that allow creativity to be developed either through sports, art and music. So that for example waste from beach cleaning activities can be recycled and reused creatively to give them a useful life while minimising the impact on the environment.

In the same way, free learning models will be implemented through educational/environmental workshops that report on the urgent need to take effective and collaborative actions on the following topics: reduction of pollutants in public areas, sustainability measures that can be generated from daily practice, reduction of polluting materials that go from industry to home, elaboration of recycling composts and in its ultimate goals the elaboration of organic gardens that generate less damage to ecosystems.

Please detail the general plans that you have for the further development, promotion and/or implementation of your concept/idea.

Listening: Through meetings, learning sessions or workshops, the team in charge will collect experiences, knowledge and perspective of the participating people, organisations and entities (with a focus on youth) to focus on the actions and ideas conceived in the formulation of the project.

Co-Design: The team in charge will systematise the information collected from the participatory instances and the community (with a focus on youth) will be able to choose the actions to be carried out in the learning instances.

Experimentation: Learning sessions will be implemented in conjunction with free and active teaching methods that allow the community to generate actions for change and products that are sustainable over time in pursuit of the protection of the rights of nature and with a focus on the youth.

Irradiation: The project's social networks will be used to disseminate the different actions for change formulated by the community with a focus on the responsible use of the internet by the youth.

Advice: The project will be closed by giving feedback to the participants and through activating questions such as, “What was the significant learning during the project?”,” What actions will they maintain for the protection of the rights of nature that they carried out throughout the project?”Finally, the team will systematise the entire project.

Imagine that your idea/concept is awarded in the New European Bauhaus Prizes 2022. What kind of initiatives would you take throughout the following year (June 2022- June 2023)

This idea is born from a group of young people that have the conviction that education is the way to generate change. One of the coordinators grew up on the island and recognises the lack of spaces where children and young people can contribute to the environment through learning by doing. The experience of each one will create a collaborative environment and although the idea is still in the formation and design stage, we are clear that this is the opportunity that will allow us to materialise the project.

That is why we will mainly dedicate ourselves to presenting the project to schools and members of civil society as organisations to generate and strengthen contact networks and thus develop the project with the greatest participation and inclusion of the community. We also believe it is probably necessary to generate a small impact study prior to the activities, so that when the cycles are over we can measure that impact, especially to know if the work carried out has strengthened the connection between the community and the territory, and of course to know if it is necessary to reformulate some of the projects ideas for the long term.

Likewise, if the cycle is developed, a great initiative would be to formalise the collective as a civil society group that considers strengthening action networks in order to promote to the rest of the region the initiative of carrying out itinerant cycles in favor of climate action and the participation of children and young people.
